Best Color Contacts For Dark Eyes

Colored contacts are all the rage in today's world, as both young men and women are trying to upgrade their eye color to something more "suitable". With the many different advances in technology, colored contacts have seen quite a few leaps in evolution, and they continue to get more innovative and more popular with each passing year. Because the market is saturated with all sorts of different colored contacts, it really isn't too difficult to find a set that matches your personality as well as your style.

If you're a person with dark eyes, choosing a lighter colored contact lense will not be as easy as you think. Changing your eye color from dark to light is definitely not an easy task; however, it isn't an impossible task either. With dark eyes, only specific types of contact lenses will work for you. To achieve a brighter color, it is important that you choose enhancement contact lenses or opaque contact lenses. Why? Because both types help keep your dark eyes from being seen behind your contacts.

Opaque color contact lenses- If you have brown eyes, then this will be your first and last stop for colored contacts. Opaque contacts are specially made for those who have dark brown eyes. Opaque lenses, as the name suggests, are not transparent. This means only the center part of the lenses will help with improving the users vision, but generally speaking, that is more than enough. As with other contacts, opaque color contact lenses come in a wide variety of different colors; green, blue, hazel, violet, gray, etc.

Enhancement colored contact lenses: This type of contact lense is not for those whom are seeking complete color change. Enhancement lenses are designed to brighten the natural color of your eye rather than to change it. These types of lenses traditionally come in shades of gray, blue, and green, and they are more suitable for people with brown or lightly colored eyes. Enhancement lenses will not do much in terms of change for people with dark brown eyes.

Color tint contact lenses: If you have darker colored eyes, this might be your ticket. These types of contact lenses are for people who want a completely different eye color altogether. Just like other types, color tint contact lenses come in shades of blue, green, and violet.

Theatrical lenses: These contact lenses are great for changing both the style and the color of your eyes. These theatrical lenses, or costume lenses, were once used exclusively by actors and film personalities in order to change their on-screen looks. However, now they are used by practically everyone to obtain new, more suitable looks.
